Transportation Department Manager needed for Phoenix office of large engineering firm. Must be a registered Professional Engineer (PE) in Arizona to serve as the Roadway / Transportation Department Manager. Candidates should have a minimum of 15 years relevant experience, have the ability to manage staff, possess good interpersonal skills and communicate effectively. The ideal candidate shall have progressive experience in hands-on design/production and management of pre-design (DCR and Project Assessment) plans and reports, and final design (PS&E) for highway and local roadways. Extensive experience with ADOT (Arizona Department of Transportation) standards and procedures is a must. Knowledge of design standards for cities in Maricopa and Pima Counties and local communities is desirable. The candidate must have working knowledge of AutoCAD and Microstation as well as design packages such as InRoads and SelectCad.

Ideal candidate will be currently reporting directly to the Transportation department manager of a large Consulting / Engineering firm, or hold the title of Transportation Department Manager in a smaller firm. This position should be the next step up in your career.
