TRAINING SPECIALIST

The Spurwink Institute seeks a full-time (32 hours) Training Specialist to join the Behavioral Health Sciences Institute team.

The ideal candidate will have: - Demonstrated skills as a trainer of students with special needs and adult learners; - Excellent verbal and written communication skills; - The capacity to interact with a variety of public school educators, staff and administrators, and employees of human service agencies.

This position requires organizational skills, the ability to multi-task and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. The Training Specialist will be required to gain and maintain "trainer" status in all areas determined to be necessary to deliver training; adhere to the methods and curricula developed; develop training curricula and materials using Windows XP; and assist in marketing activities. A familiarity with Positive Behavioral Supports training and Corrections is a plus.

REQUIREMENTS: Master's degree or higher in mental health or education-related field, and 5 years' experience as a Trainer. Travel is required.
