Outdoor Living/Lawn Care SLS is currently seeking an experienced training manager to develop and direct employee training initiatives. The preferable candidate will have direct, hands-on experience building internal training programs, preferably in distributed field services businesses.
Primary ResponsibilitiesCoordinate the design of course content and overall delivery of education program ranging from customer service, sales, operational excellence, management development etc. Consolidate and maintain training requirements, course catalog and materials, and master training schedule. Define and implement training metrics. Design and implement a train-the-trainer program enabling trainers, subject matter experts, and training infrastructure staff to perform all aspects of training including material preparation and trainee evaluation. Manage new training and development programs. Manage new training and development programs. Develop technology driven approaches for training delivery. Measure results and effectiveness of training and development programs and make continued improvements.
Training Manager responsibilities will also include evaluating content of our current program to determine what is working and opportunities for improvement. The training manager will identify needed content updates by partnering with subject matter experts to implement course changes, and will pilot new course content making adjustments where needed.
Requirements Education:B.S. degree in training, organizational development, human resources or business is a requirement for this position.
Experience:The ideal applicant has least 5+years of managing training programs in similar business application software companies.
Knowledge:The ability to manage a training function, develop training and development processes and systems, content and the overall effectiveness of the programs. While the training manager may occasionally serve in an instructor role, it is not the primary responsibility of the position.
Skills and Abilities:Skilled candidate must display the ability to think and plan strategically, and to integrate functional objectives with broad organizational strategies.Individual must demonstrate excellence in communication, influencing, teamwork, project management, time management, executive presentation/communication skills and teaching skills.
