Description: Reporting to the Manager of Training & Development, the successful applicant part of the Training Team which is responsible for coordinating, creating and conducting training activities for the 350 staff working in MGH, BWH, McLean, and Spaulding Patient Accounting Departments. In addition, the incumbent assists in developing strategies to improve quality control within the Revenue Operations - Patient Accounts Department.

Responsible for supporting all training activities for the 275 staff working in MGH, BWH, McLean, and Spaulding Patient Accounting Departments. Responsible for training for all levels of staff, including transaction staff, coordinators, supervisors and managers.
Participate in the design of an efficient and comprehensive training organization that ensures development of skill levels required to achieve total job knowledge environment and encourage self-learning and create an environment conducive to learning and open to continuous improvement.
Develop training materials. Materials could include but not limited to: course content, case studies, handouts, visual charts, user manuals, operational procedures, slides - proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint essential.
Deliver or arrange for training for all levels of Patient Accounting staff.
Administer and deliver the New Orientation Program for all new staff.
Participate in the development of strategies to ensure greater accuracy in the operational functions (Quality Control). Assist in developing tracking and reporting mechanisms for performance and quality standards and statistics on both individual and team levels.
Work with and maintain relationships with Managers/Supervisors to determine skill development needs (needs assessments) of prospective training class attendees.
Work on special projects as assigned by the Director and Manager of Training & Development. Qualifications: College degree in one of the following:
Human Resources Development
Education
Personnel Relations
Business Administration
Demonstrated real-world achievements may substitute for education requirements.
Minimum one to three (1-3) years of prior training, teaching, customer service or related Human Resources experience.
Experience in healthcare business operations desirable.

Ability to communicate effectively with staff, all levels of supervision and management, trainers from other companies, professional training and other professional organization group members, and consultants by phone, in person, or through correspondence.
Ability to perform duties with minimal direction.
Creative ability, writing proficiency, visual graphics design ability.
Must have excellent organization skills
Must be an exemplary public speaker and at ease delivering training sessions and in moderating large groups.
Proficiency in all Microsoft Office Suite applications desirable.
Ideal candidate would be a student of technology - computer savvy, possessing the ability and desire to not only learn new applications and systems but adept at transferring the acquired knowledge and skills to others as well as to documentation.
