ODOT develops programs related to Oregon's system of highways, roads, and bridges; railways; public transportation services; transportation safety programs; driver and vehicle licensing; and motor carrier regulation.

Traffic Data Analyst

The Traffic Data Analyst is responsible to analyze, compute and summarize traffic count data from the Statewide Traffic Monitoring Program. It assists in the production of Annual Transportation Volume Tables and performs computer work necessary to publish traffic data in customer specified formats. The salary range is $2708-$4000/month+ excellent benefits. This position is located in Salem.

As a Traffic Data Analyst you will:
Process traffic data, analyze for accuracy and make corrections as needed. Develop and prepare monthly traffic trend reports for distribution. Operate and maintain in-house computer programs and databases used in processing traffic data. Provide user support for data processing programs and vendor software necessary to summarize traffic data. Utilize GIS and Computer Aided Drafting (MicoStation) software for display and analysis of data. Operate vendor software used to extract traffic data from field traffic counters. Maintain data retrieval and formatting software as required. Modify and maintain Internet web pages used to post traffic data statistics and reports. Respond to requests for traffic data.



Position Qualifications include: Engineering Specialist 2 Requirements: An Associate's degree in Engineering technology from a community college or technical school of engineering and two years of experience directly related to engineering; OR Three and one-half years (42 months) of sub-professional engineering experience; OR An equivalent combination of education and experience. Underfill Option – Engineering Specialist 1 Requirements: An Associate's degree in Engineering Technology from a community college or technical school; OR Eighteen months of experience directly related to engineering; OR An equivalent combination of education and experience.
