Koch Equipment LLC, located in Kansas City, Missouri, is a leading manufacturer and distributor of food processing and packaging equipment.  We are currently looking to fill the position of a Traffic Coordinator. 

 

This position is responsible to schedule and manage our domestic, import, and export equipment distribution by performing the following duties:

 

·         Schedule, manage, and track the movement of our imported merchandise via approved forwarders.  Ensure any charge backs due to damage, shortage or duty draw backs are processed immediately. Review, streamline and standardize import processes to expedite shipments, initiate cost savings programs and maintain compliance. Manage tracking, billing and documentation in compliance with all domestic and foreign laws and regulations.

·         Prepare all export documentation for compliance with U.S. export laws and country-specific guidelines.  Quote and arrange with freight forwarders and track shipments en route.

·         Prepare all necessary paperwork, bill of ladings, etc. for domestic shipments via approved carriers and coordinate special customer needs as necessary.  Monitor shipments in transit.

·         Coordinate all aspects of service parts distribution related to export shipping. Complete required export documents for replacement parts packages. Ensure all necessary packaging and label requirements are met, and are in compliance with international country-specific regulations.    

·         Arrange and coordinate trade show freight to and from exhibit locations. Coordinate freight pick up of equipment being returned for credit, repairs or trade in machines. Coordinate direct shipments from our suppliers that will need to go directly to our customers. Arrange approved freight or package needs of employer or employees.

·         Track freight claims to seek reimbursement for damages or loss to Koch Equipment LLC. Assist customers in the claim process when necessary. Be involved in the packaging and handling aspects of freight in order to improve losses due to damages.

·         Work with management in the review of domestic and international carriers.  Keep track of all issues, good or otherwise, for the reviews as well as follow up with the sales representatives of the carriers.

·         Strong communication with the Sales department is a must.  Effectively resolve controversial service issues in a positive and professional manner representative of a world-class global supplier. Understand and communicate to internal departments, communicating any special service expectations of customers.

 

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experienceBasic knowledge of freight practices with minimum of two years of experience                At least two years of experience in negotiating pricing and service requirementsStrong written and verbal communication Knowledge of Spanish a plus Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
