Description:
Responsibilities: Reads/interprets schematics, printouts and specifications as needed to complete tests to determine the functionality of function area. Ensures testing instruments are calibrated and verified on a regular basis. Participates with the debugging and troubleshooting of new and existing procedures, equipment, products etc. Creates new test programs/procedures as needed for new technology. Primary: Applies basic knowledge of the job skills and company policies and procedures to complete a variety of assignments/tasks. Good understanding of the general/technical aspects of the job. Works on assignments that are routine to moderately complex in nature and require basic problem resolution and independent judgment. Organizes own tasks and receives general instructions on all work

Requirements:
Education Required • AA/AS degree in Computer Science, Electronic Technology, Information Technology Expected knowledge background • Demonstrated skills in applying complex electronic principles and analytical skills in problem and fault isolation • Strong understanding of computer architecture, proficient at working with Windows operations systems • Ability to install PC/Server peripheral devices such as Memory, PCI adapters, Processors and associated hardware • Basic understanding of electrical power, 120VAC and 208 VAC • Troubleshooting and problem solving skills • ability to work independently and within a team to achieve desired results from specific assignments • Knowledge of Storage devices, including HP Enterprise Virtual Array a plus • Knowledge of Fibre Channel switches and administration a plus Responsibilities • Installation/racking, set up, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of HP hardware • Installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of PC and server internal components • Must be able to go up and down ladders and work in confined spaces • Must be able to lift 35 lbs. above the waist and push equip racks (often fully populated with hardware)
