YAI/National Institute for People with Disabilities is an award-winning, nationally acclaimed network of not-for-profit health and human services agencies dedicated to building brighter futures for people with developmental disabilities of all ages and their families. We serve individuals, families, and communities in the NYC metropolitan area, Nassau, Suffolk, Westchester, Rockland, Orange, and Sullivan Counties within New York State. The most recent additions to our network include services to New Jersey and Puerto Rico. Our full range of services include early intervention, pre-school, family supports, day treatment and day habilitation programs, employment training and placement, clinical and residential services, as well as recreation and camping services.
The Third Party Bookkeeper is responsible for revenue reconciliation and the timely and accurate electronic submission of Medicaid and OMRDD claims. Must have accounting skills required for journal entries and monthly reconciliation of billing system and the general ledger. The individual must be a self-starter. This individual must be able to perform well in a high volume and fast paced production environment with a high degree of accuracy and productivity. This individual must also perform required tasks independently, assume responsibility for required results and work well in a team environment.
Ensure departmental goals are met.
Ensure timely and accurate billing.
Assist in problem solving; research, review, and analyze for monthly reconciliation.
Ensure all processes and procedures are followed.
Complete special projects, as assigned by Management.
Requirements:
* College degree preferred.
* Three years previous patient accounting experience, IDX a plus.
* Accounting/Analyst experience.
* Strong Excel skills.
* Knowledge and understanding of revenue reconciliation.
* Knowledge of OMRDD billing preferred.
* Strong interpersonal skills required.
* Attention to detail a must.
