The South Carolina State Ports Authority has an immediate opening for a Human Resources Technician. The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to the following on a daily basis; retirement system, unemployment compensation, hiring/termination process, insurance enrollment changes, job descriptions, employment applications and testing, workmen?s compensation, performance evaluations, attendance & leave notices, hiring procedures, temporary labor, scheduling annual physicals, maintaining safety shoe and eyeglass program, Job line monitoring and update, newspaper ads, internal job postings, switchboard relief, and other related tasks as assigned. The successful candidate should have the following qualifications; high school graduate or college degree preferred in Business or Human Resources, 3 ? 5 years experience pref-erably in an established human resources environment, knowledge of correct English usage, spelling, grammar, and punctuation, and Microsoft Office suite PC skills. The Ports Authority offers a competitive compensation and benefits package. The successful must submit to a pre-employment drug screen, criminal background check, and physical.
