Senior Estimator:

 

Continued growth means new projects and an increased number of jobs to bid.  We need a talented individual with some experience in quickly and accurately quoting multi-million dollar jobs on time.  A detail orientation is essential.   A quick learner with a coach-able attitude is required.  There will be times that the hours will be long and some travel may be required. 

 

Responsibilities:

 

·   Study proposals, plans, specifications, and related documents; analyzing labor, material, equipment, and time requirements; assembling & arranging numerical and descriptive information.

·   Collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data & trends to generate conceptual, schematic, and hard dollar estimates.

·      Provide cost analysis in the form of value engineering to clients and management to capture company’s profit goals.

· Prepare documents setting forth project specifications, bills of materials, man-hour projections, trade sequence, and equipment required, to ensure timely and efficient completion of awarded contracts.

·        Communicate budgets, schedules, etc. to management

 

Requirements:

 

·       Familiarity site/civil estimating for mass excavations, embankments, hauling and placement of transported materials.  Industrial applications are helpful but not required.

·        Attention to detail and accuracy are essential skills for this position.

·        Must be computer literate and able to utilize Microsoft Office including, but not limited to, Word, and Outlook.  Knowledge of estimating software and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

·   Ability to quickly analyze, interpret, compare detailed and often inadequately defined information.

·   Four year college degree, in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or similar discipline required. EIT or ability to obtain PE registration preferred.
