Job Description: Test Development Specialists provide content area, curriculum and instruction, and assessment expertise in the design and development of high-stakes custom educational assessment materials.  They are also responsible for the creation, review, and revision of test items; alignment of items to state curricula; training and supervision of freelance personnel; conceptualization, construction, and review of test forms; and interaction with state departments of education and their appointees and committees. There are opportunities for career growth and advancement, and on-the-job training will be provided.

Job Requirements: Requires a Bachelor degree in science elementary or secondary education or in a science field. Two or more years of test development, teaching and curriculum development experience or similar, and master or doctoral degree are highly desired but not required. A Test Development Specialist will generally have responsibility for leading the development of a domain, content area, or grade level on one or more projects. Candidates must have the willingness and ability to travel as much as 25% time in this position.
