Nearly 35 years of application experience & expertise.Ten worldwide locations to serve our customers.Maintenance of FDA Device & Drug Master Files.Functionalized coating facilities to meet market requirements for cleanrooms and quality management systems.Market specific expertise including Ph.D. Chemist, Market Specialists, and university collaborations, all which allow SCS to further enhance Parylene technology.

 

Currently, SCS is seeking the right person to fill the position of Territory Sales Manager for the Northwest Region of the United States.  This position is responsible for developing and servicing accounts in the following states: Northern California, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, and Wyoming. This selected candidate will reside within this territory and will coordinate the sales activities out of his/her home office.  The Territory Sales Manager will be responsible for developing new accounts, maintaining existing accounts, developing sales strategies for the territory, monitoring activities of competitors, and communicating issues between customers and SCS operations/engineering/quality/marketing.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

·         Responsible for sales forecasts, budgets and expenses. 

·         Responsible for meeting or exceeding sales budgets for the assigned geographical region.     

·         Responsible for utilizing efficient time management skills and planning as it relates to his/her customers.

·         Provides timely and accurate reporting on customer and competitive activities. 

·         Seeks market opportunities and tenaciously pursues transitioning those into new sales.

·         Develops strategies for the improvement on current products. 

·         Develops relationships with those at the customer locations who have significant influence on purchasing decisions.  Makes on-site visits to customer locations on a regular basis to further strengthen this partnership (travel via company-issued vehicle or via airline).

·         Develops strong partnership with Marketing for understanding customer needs and defining product/service offering. 

·         Mobilizes necessary resources (materials, personnel, time, etc.) as required to maximize opportunity for successful new business qualification trials.

·         Executes pricing decisions/negotiations based on guidance provided by national sales leadership.

·         Professionally represents SCS values, products, services and capabilities.  Manages business interactions using ethical business practices.

·         Follows the pricing policies and ensures that SCS obtains suitable margins. 

·         Maintains active knowledge of customers, contacts and the status in the sales cycle.

 

ADDITIONAL COMPETENCIES REQUIRED TO PERFORM JOB:

·         Possesses well-developed communication, organizational and interpersonal skills. 

·         Manages resources and multiple priorities efficiently. 

·         Is able to travel to customer locations, to SCS facilities, and to headquarters (50% travel). 

·         Ability to present information to customers in an organized and professional manner.

·         Must be able to work independently with minimal direction, meet deadlines, assure accuracy of reports and data submitted, and follow-through with requests/assignments.  

·         Must have a thorough knowledge of SCS products and services.   

·         Must be able to field any customer questions and serve as a customer liaison.

·         Requires proficiency in Microsoft Excel®, Power Point®, and Word® software. 

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

 

·         Bachelor's degree (4-year) in Marketing, Business, or closely related discipline. 

·         5+ year's successful, professional work experience in Sales Account Management.  

·         10+ year's professional work experience in Sales Account Management without a 4-year degree.

·         Possess and maintain a valid vehicle driver's license in state of residence.
