Territory Sales Manager-New York City
The ideal candidate is an independent worker who is an excellent communicator with good presentation skills. Must be well presented, motivated to succeed, and able to respond to continual challenges within this fast moving environment.
Position Summary
Develop and increase Dyson product sales within their region.Management of all sales functions at approximately 150 to 200 key retailer locations in the designated region.Prospecting and implementation of all new retail dealers to increase the Dyson distribution.Implementation of negotiated independent dealer contractsImplementation of all field sales training and merchandising within their region, to include:Merchandising retail stores with proper point of purchase materialsSetting up, and implementing in store displays and end capsTraining all sales associates, Department managers and Store managers on the Dyson Product line.Implementation of Dyson US sales goals at the store level within their regionProviding regional and store training sessions when required, by the retailer for the specific region.Provide weekly call reports to the Team LeaderProvide Monthly territory reports to the Team LeaderBuild and maintain relationships with retail personnel at all levels to include:Store AssociatesDepartment ManagerStore ManagerDistrict ManagerRegional Manager
Conduct in store consumer demonstrations on all Dyson products, as and when requiredAnalyzing POS by store, and setting sales goals with the Team Leader for each store within their regionDevelop with the Team Leader, field promotions to drive incremental sales at the store levelEffective route planning to ensure best possible use of timeEnsure all customers are visited regularly (expected – 7 store calls per day, on average)
Qualifications / Experience Required
College Degree or equivalent experienceRetail experience desirableFull drivers license and willingness to travel within designated region (overnight stays required on occasion)Good basic math and analytical skillsAttention to detail and accuracyStrong communication and relationship building skillsComputer literateAbility to lift a minimum of 25 lbs.
