Well established and growing cargo handling and container manufacturing and rental services firm located in Southern Louisiana has an opportunity for experienced only achievers with 5 plus years of sales experience in equipment sales and rental industries. Expansion across Canada and the United States has generated a need to bring on board Territory Sales Managers to promote the firm’s products and designs to the industry. These are full-time positions with an excellent compensation package and commission structure that awards high performance well into a 6 figure income with uncapped earnings potential. This position reports directly to the North American Sales Manager at this time.
Firm has been in business since 1987, developing materials, designs and the finished products to meet the cargo handling and container market needs, initially for the offshore oil industry. Firm designs, manufactures, assembles and ships products from its location in Southern Louisiana. With its unique capability to develop a wide spectrum of products and configurations, the company’s products fit a wide range of needs. Company is ISO 9001:2000 compliant.
Due to the increasing demand to provide solution for this industry, the firm has recently strengthened its distribution channel resources and marketing presence across the breadth of Canada and the United States, This action has promoted the need for additional Territory Sales Managers to develop access to supply these products to the end users.
The primary duty of the Territory Sales Manager is to sell the firm’s products and rental services to meet and exceed sales quotas and grow the business. It is expected that the chosen candidates will be innovative and driven to be successful in the pursuit of the sales goals. Candidates should also have acquired the management skills necessary to guide and direct channel partners and internal resources to support that success, as well as provide clear, accurate and timely reporting. Opportunity exists for continued growth within firm’s sales organization.
Qualifications and Responsibilities:
Optimum candidates should have a minimum of an Associates degree or equivalent with a verifiable minimum of 5 plus years in sales with 3 years proven ability in industries selling into, or servicing cargo handling or container products. Comparable industries would include Mining, Construction, Offshore Oil Services or Marine, Oil Refineries, Chemical, Army Corp of Engineers.
The qualified individuals chosen for these NEW positions will be responsible to
Manage the Sales Territory which has been assigned to generate maximum sales revenue to meet firm objectives;Drive current channel growth, and develop new channels for existing products and/or new products;Manage key accounts with high visibility, revenue opportunities and/or sensitive relations to maintain and expand large volume opportunities;Support the generation of proposals and contracts to fulfill the targeted sales quota;Provide customer management and service to maintain highest level of customer support, sales achievement, problem resolution and loyalty;Educate and provide tools to consignment partners and purchasing agents in product knowledge and competitive advantages to meet firm objectives;Present accurate annual, and quarterly and monthly revenue forecasts within the assigned territory;Build and expand customer base to establish long-term installed base;Perform competitive analysis to determine product, sales, customer and channel positioning;Be comfortable using computer to research through Internet for potential customers and maintain sales management communication reports;Maintain relations to ensure consistency of customer expectations and objectives with company’s capabilities and deliverables.
Extensive traveling within assigned territories is required, primarily auto, estimated at 50-75%, Computer skills include Microsoft Office, and Internet and appropriate sales support software. No relocation is required and commission structure is highly competitive in the industry.
