At Capital Safety, our business is Safety! Home of the DBI/SALA & Protecta brands, we are the world leaders in personal fall protection and industrial rescue equipment. We currently have an outstanding opportunity for a Territory Sales Manager.
The Territory Sales Manager will be responsible for visiting, promoting and selling the DBI/SALA and Protecta International brands to designated regional and national accounts.
· Responsibility of managing specific distributor accounts as assigned.
· Promote DBI/SALA and Protecta products with distributor accounts and close sales.
· Meet with designated distributors; insure they have a current and adequate supply of literature and promotional materials.
· Notify distributor of the specific sales person (agent or direct sales person) responsible for their account.
· Provide feedback to the Regional Sales Manager as to the number of visits made and the details of the contact.
Designated End User Market Segments
· Identify, qualify and direct sales leads to the appropriate Regional Sales Manager
· Distribute literature, videos, samples and other promotional materials.
· Work with Sales Reps in designated sales territory to schedule and conduct product demonstrations and
safety awareness meeting to end users.
· Conduct presentations as designated by the Regional Sales Manager
· Travel to customer’s facility to support business efforts by presenting new products and marketing tools, demonstrating products and generally assisting in any way possible to build a strong business relationship.
Other duties include:
· Assist inside customer service representatives by preparing price quotes and sales contracts and
finding resolutions to customer complaints
· Suggest and propose new sales growth areas for assigned territory.
· Keep management informed on competitive and market activity.
· Work with Regional Sales Manager to develop and lead business proposals to win new business.
· Call reports and calendar updates must be provide to supervisor weekly.
The person performing the duties of this job must be able to be trained on the company’s products, be involved in the trial of new products and be able to train others on the use of the products.
The employee is required to live in the state of Alaska and be available to travel within the territory as required. Unless otherwise directed, no more than 8 hours per week (20%) will be spent doing office work. The remaining time will be spent working in the field.
In addition, the person must have excellent communication skills and have proven sales experience.
Experience in the fall protection industry or a safety related field is preferred but not required.
