The Territory Business Manager is a direct sales position within the BioScience Division of Baxter that produces BioSurgery products used to promote hemostasis and wound-sealing in surgery. Candidates need to be able to establish and maintain effective relationships with customers including surgeons, nurses and operating room staff. They will also need to be viewed as positive team players and leaders among their peers. The successful representative will demonstrate the ability to target and manage their territory strategically while operating within an assigned budget. Some essential job duties include the following: Responsible for achieving sales quotas through the direct sale of the company's products or services. Implement sales strategies to attain sales volume, product mix and profit objectives. Calls on prospective customers, masters effective sales presentations, provide technical and administrative product information and/or demonstrations, and quotes appropriate customer prices. Monitors sales against forecasts and participates in the determination of market potential for the territory. Works closely with customer service and operations to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction. Provides feedback to immediate supervisor and marketing personnel for the development of marketing policy, recommended product and product line revisions as well as pricing changes. Promotes the Baxter Culture through positive ongoing relationships and activities. Provides feedback regarding product simplification and standardization to enhance profitability of sales line. Assists other departments within organization to prepare manuals and technical publications. Make good decisions based upon a mixture of analysis, experience and judgement. Must be able to work autonomously to achieve established goals while proactively remotely communicating with management.QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidate must possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral, as well as negotiation and presentation skills. Position requires ability to analyze and interpret data for effective sales strategies. Travel is required and may involve visits to remote or urban areas either individually or with other personnel. Must have good organizational and time management skills. Ability to understand and adapt to customers' changing needs. Demonstrates business acumen and strong knowledge of sales processes. Ability to produce documented sales results and examples of company awards, sales contests, sales rankings and related supporting information. Individuals must live within the current geography or be willing to relocate to it. Familiarity with posted territory strongly desired. Bachelor's degree required with 3-5+ years of successful, relevant operating room focused sales experience. Medical Device versus Pharma experience preferred.
