Leads Tellers; oversees paying, receiving, development and training. Ensures tellers provide quality service while protecting the bank against loss. Supports tellers when balancing and resolves problems. Prepares and reviews currency transaction, secrecy act, and monetary instrument reports. Performs monthly teller, vacation and other audits. Is also responsible for internal audit exceptions. Manages and orders vault cash. Coaches staff to improve customer service, sales and operational skills. Tracks and researches outages and errors. Prepares oral and written warnings and probation. Prepares performance assessments and makes salary recommendations. Approves time cards. Ensures all teller cash positions and monetary instruments are within established limits. Prepares month-end reports and ensures reports are accurate. Checks all logs for accuracy. Schedules tellers assuring overtime is always necessary and pre-approved. Sells travelers checks, issues official or cashiers checks. Processes credit card cash advances. Conducts weekly teller performance meetings. Keeps teller area neat and the equipment functional. Participates in training programs. Provides on-the-job training to teller staff. Develops action plans with manager to meet goals. Assists the Manager with the sales and operations meeting. Leads branch in Manager's absence. Other duties as assigned. Teller Service Manager I, X19 - Typically requires a Bachelor's and 2+ years of directly related experience. Full use and application of standard principles, theories, concepts, and techniques. Working knowledge of banking policies and procedures, teller processes and excellent customer service. Teller Service Manager II, X20 - Typically requires a Bachelor's and 4+ years of directly related experience. Broad application of principles, theories, and concepts in applicable discipline, plus extensive knowledge of other related fields. Extensive knowledge of banking policies and procedures, teller processes and excellent customer service.
