General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT), one of the largest IT and System Integrators in the United States has teamed with Nortel Government Systems to provide engineering, installation and operational support for some of the largest VoIP deployments in the nation. GDIT is currently seeking skilled VoIP and system engineers in Richmond, CA, for a large scale VoIP deployment that have current operational experience in a Nortel environment. Candidate will work as part of the Network Operations team on a very large VoIP network. As part of that team, the candidate will perform maintenance of network VoIP elements which includes but is not limited to general configuration management, patch deployment, SW upgrades, VoIP network element configuration as required for moves and adds and changes, and problem isolation and troubleshooting/resolution as required.

Position requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience in telecommunications support. Bachelors Degree in a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work experience. NCSS, NCSE or NCDE Nortel Certifications in Telephony Manager, Element Manager, CS 1000 (SW ver 5.0), MPS 500 & 1000, Audiocodes Mediant 2000 SIP gateway, Call Pilot Reporter, Contact Center Manager Server or Symposium Call Center Server preferred.

Knowledge of installation, configuration, and administration of relevant Nortel voice network management and configuration tools (e.g., Telephony Manager, Element Manager, CS 1000, MPS 500 & 1000, Audiocodes Mediant 2000 SIP gateway, Call Pilot Reporter, Contact Center Manager Server, Symposium Call Center Server)
