Hudson has been retained to identify an experienced Procurement / Strategic Sourcing Specialist with a high level of expertise in telecom.  This is a high visibility role reporting right into the Director - IT Sourcing.  Internal promotion is heavily sponsored within the group so we are looking at candidates with longer term career aspirations to move into Management.

The Strategic Sourcing Specialist - Telecom supports the strategic sourcing and supplier relationship processes. In managing both sourcing and vendor management, this person is responsible for increasing the capture rate by: increasing the accuracy of management information on spending patterns and internal customer satisfaction; standardizing products and services to produce economies of scale; establishing and monitoring supplier continuous improvement objectives, commonality of order processing and supplier performance measures; reducing the number of supplier relationships to be managed; and creating a single strategic focus for firmwide procurement planning. This professional participates in implementing organizational strategic plans, and interfaces frequestly with senior leadership.
