Howrey LLP, recently acknowledged as an "A" list firm in The American Lawyer's list of "the best law firms in the land," has an exciting Technology Trainer opportunity in its Washington, DC office. In this role, you will conduct one-on-one and classroom training, develop training workshops, create handouts and resources/reference guides, and provide on-demand application support for all users on both our Washington, DC and Northern VA offices.
Specific Responsibilities
Conduct training on the firm-wide software used on PCs. Includes Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook), as well as specialized legal software and the firm's internet technologies. Provide "helpline" and "floor support" software assistance for all users in the Washington, DC and Northern VA offices as the training schedule allows. Coordinate all development projects with the DC Training Department, including documentation for applications and customizations to firm-wide software. Coordinate training schedules and participants prior to scheduling of classes or training for DC and Northern VA. Coordinate with DC and Northern VA management all necessary training and arrange travel when requested to provide training in either office. Determine and evaluate local training demands and indicate any anticipated schedule conflicts or absences and/or the need for contracting additional training support. Provide feedback and report to the Technology Training Manager concerning any training problems, user evaluations and areas for training program improvements. Perform special projects as needed, and other responsibilities as assigned. Requirements:Your Profile
We are seeking a confident technical professional with a quest for excellence, a high-energy person who can demonstrate initiative and flexibility in handling a variety of training responsibilities in our fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Exceptional communication, presentation and planning/organization skills are essential to your success in this role. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is required for this position. Prior experience in a training or teaching capacity within a law firm or professional services environment is strongly desired. Bachelor's Degree desirable, but not required.
