Empirical Testing Corporation www.empiricaltesting.com founded in 1998 and located in Colorado Springs, Colorado provides professional, timely, and accurate testing of medical devices, including spinal implants and other orthopaedic devices to meet the needs of the competitive market place, the product development environment, and the discerning consumer base.
We are seeking an Engineering Technician. This new position reports to the Equipment Engineering Manager and will support the continued profitable growth of our organization.
Empirical Testing Corporation performs static and dynamic fatigue testing on medical devices.
We operate a 24x7 operation with a lights out 2nd and 3rd shift. We utilize twenty-six Instron 8800 series hydraulic test stand machines along with a MTS Bionix spine wear simulator testing unit. In response to customer needs we are adding eight MTS Bionix testing frames. We are looking for an engineering technician to team with and support engineers in the device testing process as well as maintain/repair equipment.
The successful candidate will have experience in either a process or equipment technician position, preferably with a background in pneumatic and electrical systems. Candidate should demonstrate excellent troubleshooting skills, strong detail orientation, and proven problem solving capability.
