About Product/Project

Integrated Warehouse (IWH) will be the Yahoo! Data Warehouse storing Peta bytes of data and run queries on this data significantly faster than any other commercially available product. IWH is built on top of the new data warehouse platform. IWH will have detailed event data across all Yahoo! Businesses (Search and Display Ads). IWH will be the only system on which cross data queries will be executed.

Job Responsibilities (The Role and tasks associated with this job)

·         Part of the development team to design and develop data schemas and queries for IWH

·         Become data experts for data in IWH

·         Deep understanding of data and data quality

·         Provide consultancy for application developers to write queries on data warehouse platform

·         Work closely with platform team to enhance functionality to meet customer needs

Minimum Job Qualifications (the skills, experience, etc. that the person you hire will absolutely have)

·         BS/MS with Computer Science specialization

·         5+ years of working experience in a data base or/and data warehouse application development

·         Solid understanding of SQL language and Data warehousing concepts

·         Strong scripting skills in one of the scripting languages on LINUX platform

·         Work independently with little supervision and be able to work with remote manager

·         Strong problem solving skills

·         Familiarity with LINUX, PostGres is a plus

Preferable Job Qualifications (any additional qualifications, skills, exp, etc.)

·         Self motivated and strong desire to do improve skill set

·         Customer focus
