How Big Can You Think?

We develop systems for real-time serving of display advertising on Yahoo! and partner sites. The technology includes real-time decision logic for ad serving, ad targeting / optimization, data collection / processing and analysis applications. These products are used for serving ads to hundreds of millions of Yahoo! users worldwide.

Job Responsibilities
•Contribute to development of new advertising products, specifically in the areas of ad serving, matching of the right ad to the right user and delivery of ads on new media.
•Develop server technologies and other back-end systems, including communications with other servers and databases.
•Help maintain and optimize existing software infrastructure.
•Collaborate with other engineering and operations teams to build, scale and deploy successful products into production.

Minimum Job Qualifications
•Three or more years of programming experience in C/C++.
•Two or more years of experience on FreeBSD/Linux/Unix systems, with expertise in scripting languages, especially Perl.
•Good understanding of algorithms, data structures and performance optimization techniques.
•BS in Computer Science or Engineering.

Preferable Job Qualifications
•MS or PhD in Computer Science or Engineering.
•Experience with relational database programming, preferably MySQL or Oracle.
•A passion for creating good software that supports scaleable and bug-free, high-performance systems.
