Florida Detroit Diesel-Allison, Inc. (FDDA) is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Detroit Diesel Corporation. It is in the Business of distributing a wide range of Detroit Diesel, MTU Engines and Allison Transmissions; including parts, service and warranty.  FDDA serves the needs of industrial, agriculture, transportation, marine, municipalities and power-generation users. It has been in varying stages of development for the past twenty-nine years.

 

The Technical Training Instructor/Manager we seek will develop and deliver educational programs to train distributor/dealers technicians, customers, end users, and company personnel on the repair, maintenance, and diagnostic procedures of MTU/MTU-DD and 2-Cycle engines to include training on the Detroit Diesel Electronic Controls (DDEC).  Instruction will involve extremely technical knowledge and procedures involving a considerable amount of creativity, product knowledge, and initiative with wide latitude for independent actions – including,

 

·         proper use of documentation, measuring techniques, and appropriate use of the specialized tools used to perform minor, major, and overhaul repairs of engines,

 

·         detailed explanations and demonstrations of fluid flow paths throughout the engines to reinforce the technician’s troubleshooting skills,

 

·         troubleshooting procedures and the proper documentation to use to provide the information in the troubleshooting and servicing process,

 

·         delivering training for Customer/Mechanic and/or Owners of Motor Yachts in proper operation, service intervals, and minor repairs to the engines that are in their vessels, and

 

·         teaching of basic troubleshooting to enhance the knowledge of the proper fluids used in the operation the marine diesel engines.
