Job Responsibilities: Provide leadership and technical experience to a team of HRO IT resources in the completion of data movements and Service Requests. Service requests include requests from our MPS (managed payroll service) group and additional internal operations team. Works closely with the Data Management manager and service requesters to define requirements, estimate effort, and prioritize work. Facilitates the planning of internal initiatives with Data Management Manager and business owner, allocates and schedules assigned resources.
The Technical Team Lead is also responsible for identifying opportunities to implement technical solutions, or process changes, that improve the accuracy of the payroll process and reduce the manual effort or cycle time required to process payroll. At times the Technical Team Lead will execute and implement the request by themselves. They will also provide on demand support for breakfix issues in payroll processing, which will require unscheduled and unplanned efforts.
Additional responsibilities: Perform technical operations for HRO customer's payroll systems (HPW, SSS & Source 500) by executing systems extracts and imports of employee data to/from third party benefit vendors, and to/from customer systems on a daily, weekly and monthly basis. Research and resolve system issues as it relates to the interfaces running on HRO customer payroll systems including but not limited to; HPW, SSS and Source550. Development, testing, documentation and maintenance of Crystal reports and SQL queries for auditing purposes and adhoc requests. Run weekly, monthly, yearly and as requested adhoc reports using SQL scripts Audit system tables and choose lists to ensure updated information in maintained at the employee level. Perform system audits through SQL's, data scrubs and reports prior to pay period cut-off to ensure validity of data on system and reports. Consult on system enhancements and provide input to the rest of the Tech COE. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: Electronic data movement (Imports/Exports) System expert and SME resource for internal and external contacts System table and file maintenance Experience: High School Degree and two-three years of additional schooling and a minimum of one to three years prior experience working with an HR system as an end user. One year + experience with Word, Excel, Crystal reports, Access and SQL databases including writing SQL scripts. General HR/Payroll Process knowledge, General HRMS knowledge. Project Management, good teamwork and customer skills, strong problem solving skills, SelfDirection, Leadership, and Documentation, Communication skills, Technical Expertise. Desirable Qualifications: HR, Payroll, Benefit application development and functional knowledge experience a plus. Project Management experience a plus. Ceridian HR/Payroll product experience a plus.
