Our customer’s have made us the dominant Satellite Telecommunications provider to the drilling industry in the Texas/Louisiana Gulf Coast region. In addition, we have expanded our presence to Europe and, most recently, South America. Our existing customers and their projects will soon propel us into every section of the globe!

Our expertise can be called upon for supporting operations in places where little telecommunications infrastructure exist such as dense jungles, barren deserts, tropical rain forests and open waters.

In addition, the same capabilities and service that drove our success in the drilling and exploration business are transferable and adaptive to other industries and business needs.

We are looking for a proven professional who have the ability to do the following:

Technical Services Specialist-

Technical Services Specialists (TSS) is a truly functional Tier 3 Support Team to the Service Management Center (SMC). TSS is also responsible for Service Delivery of services deployed on a global scale to support our customers. The TSS team is also responsible for the operations and maintenance of the core and distribution layers within the network.



Responsibilities:

-Provide Tier 3 Technical Support to the Service Management Center (SMC). Update and manage Incident Tickets and work to a solution on escalated incidents with the customer and internal team members.

-Provide Tier 2 Technical Support for the Core and Distribution layer of the customer network. Ensuring a high availability uptime with minimal disruption to customers.

-Under general supervision, responsible for the operational configuration, testing and acceptance, documentation for a variety of data and satellite networks. To include TDMA, SCPC, Asymmetric, VOIP and MPLS Networks and supporting infrastructure.

-Follow and carryout internal Order Management functions for the deployment of customer networks.

-Maintain adds/moves/changes to our Network Management Systems to provide up to date fault notifications.

-Implement Change Controls to track any planned or urgent maintenance windows.

-Assist and perform scheduled maintenance requests following the directions set forth in the Engineering Design as defined by project plan including configuration implementation, testing and documentation of results.

-Maintain detailed network documentation as well as standard operational procedures.

-Communicate job status internally and to the customer.

-Assist in developing hardware and software configuration standards.
-Collaborate with management to develop recommendations concerning equipment life cycle and replacement.

-Work closely with other departments training and implementing new technologies and processes.

-Interface with technicians, service contractors and vendors and customers on a daily basis.

-Mentor and coach team members
- Provide after hours on-call support on a rotating basis.

- Assist Technical Services Supervisor in day to day activities.

- Work closely with Network Engineering on the development and implementation of new technologies and equipment.

Skills/Qualifications:

- Associate's Degree in Electronics or related IT field, or equivalent work/military experience.

- Minimum of CCNA Certification.

- 4-5 years of related work experience preferred

- 2-3 years Satellite Communications experience preferred

- 1-2 years MPLS and VPN Implementation and Troubleshooting

- 2-3 years IP/Telephony Implementation and Troubleshooting Experience

- Solid knowledge of Satellite Vendors in the required set-up, calibration and testing required to commission a ground station to work with assigned satellite systems.

- 2-3 years working experience with Cisco Routers, Switches, Pix Firewalls, Wireless Technologies, VSAT Terminals, and various equipment used in the satellite and terrestrial communications field

- Advanced knowledge of telecommunications protocols, design, network planning, hardware and platforms

- Complete understanding of telecom as it relates to business issues from a project management, sales and financial perspective

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills required

- Must be able to interact effectively within all levels of the company

- Excellent organizational and computer skills are required, as well as an understanding of metric analysis

- Experience with Microsoft Office, HP ServiceDesk, Spectrum Aprisma, Network and Spectrum Analyzers.

- Candidate must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Physical Requirements: Requires frequent lifting, pulling, pushing (20 lbs. or greater) and climbing, stooping and kneeling
