Networks with key contacts outside own area of expertise.  Determines methods and procedures on new assignments and may coordinate activities of other personnel (Team Lead).  ** This position could be located in either the Cincinnati or Dallas office **

 

Overview: This global role will be instrumental in ensuring channel partner operational alignment with the various stages of the sales and delivery cycle for Siemens PLM Software.  Additionally, the role will be responsible for defining and using the metrics that determine the success of the Channel Partner business (indirect business) to recommend further action. This role is accountable for coordinating the design, development, documentation, global deployment and adoption of channel systems and tools to improve our Channel Partners “ease of doing business” with Siemens PLM Software.  The ideal candidate will work on multiple projects simultaneously focused on improving the tools and processes associated with the Siemens Solution Partner (PLM) program for the benefit of our Channel Partners and Siemens PLM. Experience: Siemens PLM seeks a Channel Operations Manager with experience in working with virtual teams and a deep knowledge of service provider and reseller channel operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong financial and IT background and the ability to work comfortably with other internal organizations (such as Finance, Legal and IT).  This role involves interaction with key internal and external decision influencers and provides a great opportunity for career advancement in sales as well as other organizations across Siemens. Key activities in this role include: 1)            Responsible for creating/monitoring Channel Partner performance (multiple productivity and capacity measures) through weekly/monthly/yearly dashboards and pointing out areas of revenue growth, improved efficiency and cost reduction. 2)            Responsible for driving the direction and functionality in the Siemens PLM CRM/PRM application (salesforce.com) to enhance global adoption by Siemens PLM Channel Sales Managers and Channel Partners. 3)            Responsible for understanding the Channel Partner order processing requirements and designing systems and processes to simplify, reduce time, improve accuracy and improve partner satisfaction. 4)            Must demonstrate an ability to excel within a cross-functional team environment.  Expected to establish and leverage business relationships within Siemens PLM – specifically Finance, Legal, IT and the zone channel and sales operations team. 5)            Support increasing Partner sales productivity by developing tools and programs to improve “ease of doing business” with Siemens PLM.   6)            Design and support processes for improved global indirect sales forecasting on weekly/monthly/quarterly basis. 7)            Responsible for upholding Siemens integrity/best interests.  Skills required include: 1)            Strategic Planning experience, proactive business skills and strong collaborative skills are required.  Minimum of 5 years experience with 4-year college degree or equivalent experience.  2)            Excellent oral/written communication & listening skills will be necessary to present information, analysis & recommendations to all levels of employees, including executive management. 3)            Extensive knowledge of Channel Sales, Third-party reseller business model and multi-tier distribution is a must.  4)            In addition we are looking for:    a.         Experience in resolving business issues involving multiple disparate constituencies, evidence of managing conflict   b.         Experience in developing, leading and implementing end to end processes for global communities   c.         Ability to manage multiple projects & effective mgmt of multiple elements across different projects and geographies concurrently   d.         High degree of organization to manage & maintain project plans, road maps & provide accurate updates as part of the review cycle   e.         Ability to present & articulate the objective to multiple audiences across different geographies   f.          Experience in using quantitative data to track and guide business performance   g.         Able to work with minimal supervision and flexibility to manage and be part of geographically-based teams   h.         Mentors team members in technology, architecture and delivery of applications.  Proven ability to transfer knowledge and stay aware of current trends and technical advancements   i.          Successful teamwork experience and demonstrated leadership abilities are required   j.           Time management skills are a must; as well as the ability to be flexible and creative   k.          Must be willing to travel globally 25% - 35%   l.           College degree in a related area of study, with advanced degree highly preferred 5)            Technology Skills   a.         5+ years experience within sales operations    b.         5+ years experience with sales information reporting, sales analytics, sales processes and product distribution    c.         3+ years experience working within Software and/or Hardware industries   d.         2+ years experience with salesforce.com (preferred)    e.         Deep knowledge and use of MS Office applications, including Excel and Access
