Synopsis of Position: Proactive technical sales role focusing on positioning /selling /marketing all
AT&T Network & DataComm products and services to end users in the central
Texas (Austin/Temple/Waco) area. Primary focus is the sale of network
services, Internet services, voice/data CPE, integration services,
professional services, and managed network services while maintaining a
positive team selling relationship with the Core Account Team and primary
vendors of AT&T DataComm (Cisco, Avaya,Nortel, etc.). The candidate should
understand how to develop and create value with their client base through a
consultative approach working to understand their clients goals and mapping
them to AT&T capabilities. Ongoing technology training and sales skill
development will be expected of the role. A minimum 24 month commitment is
required.
Required Degrees/Majors/Accreditations/Skills: Current working knowledge and experience selling integrated network solutions
voice, video, data, internet access, etc., LAN/WAN, internet, working
application selling skills . Willingness to continue to learn to stay current
with the industry. Relevant work experience 2 - 4 years.
Desired Degrees/Majors/Accreditations/Skills: BS or equivalent in work experience. Vendor certifications desired.
Technical knowledge of advanced technologies in IP Telephony, Wireless,
Security, Storage, LAN and WAN, VPN from manufacturers such as Cisco
Systems, Nortel and Avaya are desired.
