Amazon.com has an immediate opening for a Technical Program Manager (TPM) to join the External Payment Services team. The TPM will be responsible for developing and managing projects that enhance the TextPayMe service and consumer-facing website for our internal customers. The projects require timely execution with the highest degrees of security, performance, availability, and reliability.  You will act as a bridge between TextPayMe, External Payment Services, and all internal customers that rely on our infrastructure.  Other responsibilities include defining requirements, planning delivery, and designing web-sites and features. The TPM will also provide escalation management, anticipate and make tradeoffs, and balance the business needs versus technical constraints. This is a great opportunity to join a new and dynamic team, within the External Payment Services group, that is developing an innovative and growing business.  You will have a direct impact in where the business goes. 3+ years of industry experience as a software developerTrack record of working effectively with different groups in an organizationRecord of successful delivery of software products from conception through business case and customer deploymentAbility to work the business side of projects to drive deployment of new productsEntrepreneurial spirit with strong product and program management skillsAbility to work with technical and non-technical business owners to get things doneExcellent written and oral communicationAn undergraduate or graduate degree in Computer Science (or related field)Knowledge in the mobile, or mobile payments, space is a plus
