Technical Manager - PRS CGI is looking for an experienced Technical Lead who will be responsible for managing a team in designing and developing enhancements to a monthly accounting system. Some enhancements may be in the current mid-tier environment (Oracle/Informatica technologies) but the primary focus will be mainframe development going forward. In addition, this development lead will be responsible for operations and maintenance activities in the mainframe environment after implementation. Must be familiar with SDLC processes including quality assurance. At least two years experience leading a development team is required. Strong technical experience in mainframe programming languages is required. Good communication skills and business writing experience is preferred. Experience with Oracle/SQL is preferred. The PRS project is part of our Federal Healthcare organization and performs operations, maintenance, and enhancements for the PWS system developed for the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). PWS supports CMS’s monthly reconciliation of premium payments for Medicare drug plans. PWS is currently a mid-tier database application built in Oracle but is expected to be redeployed in a mainframe environment in upcoming months. Essential Skills: 4 years of technical management experience 5 years experience with Mainframe technologies (Mainframe COBOL, JCL), technical design writing, data analysis.
