Farr Academy, a therapeutic day school serving bright adolescents (7th-12th grade) with special needs, has immediate openings for skilled, enthusiastic, caring teachers who wish to work in a team-oriented school that emphasizes enhancing student academic performance and teaching students how to successfully manage the emotional issues and learning challenges they face.

Licensure and experience desired

Candidates should have familiarity with MA Curriculum Frameworks, modifications and accommodations used to teach students with a wide range of abilities and learning needs and the ability to teach a full range of courses and levels from advanced to remedial.

Candidates should have a clinical framework as part of classroom management practices and be able to work with troubled and challenging adolescents.

Interest and skill in athletics and camping helpful; tenacity and a good sense of humor are essential.
