Teacher's Assistant

JOB SUMMARY

Will be a teacher of young children and meet the requirements of the California Commission of Teacher Credentialing, and of the licensing agency.  Must be willing to fulfill the responsibilities in accordance with the center’s educational philosophy.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Must have a minimum of 12 units in Child Development Education; AA degree preferred.Effective communication.Able to work with a diverse population.The person selected for this position must be at least nineteen years of age, be a teacher of young children, and meet the requirements of the California Commission of Teacher Credentialing, and of the licensing agency. This person must have warm and friendly personality, be sensitive to he feelings and needs of others, able to relate well to children, and be willing to fulfill responsibilities in accordance with the center’s educational philosophy.

Teacher

JOB SUMMARY:    

Responsible for the day-to-day activities in the classroom.  Responsible for the planning and designing of daily program.  Ensure the safety and well-being of children in the classroom and maintain classroom records. Supervision of Associate Teachers as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1.       A minimum of 24 ECE/CD units (including core units plus 16 GE units).  AA degree preferred.

2.       Must have completed 175 days (3 + hours per day within 4 years) of experience in an early childhood setting.

3.       Effective written and oral communication skills required

4.       Proficient in developing and maintaining cooperative staff relationships.

5.       Must be 1st Aid (infant/child/adult) and CPR certified.

6.       Experience in working with diverse cultures.

7.      Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.

 

Lead Teacher

JOB SUMMARY

This person selected for this position will be responsible for the general supervision and management of a class, assist teachers, and the Director. This person will also assume the duties of acting Director at times when the Site Supervisor or Director is absent.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Must have 24 units ECE/CD Plus 6 units Administration 2 units adult supervision including core courses.Must be professionally prepared as a teacher of young children, especially in the field of early childhood education or development.Able to relate well to both children and adultsMust have the personality and ability to provide leadership and stability for program continuity.
