We are currently seeking a Senior Manager to join us in our Washington D.C. office.

KPMG's Trade and Customs group is a national tax practice that develops and helps implement customs and international trade services for clients in a variety of industries, including the pharmaceutical, textile, automotive, electronics, food/retail distribution and global manufacturing industries. In delivering these trade and customs services, KPMG's professionals endeavor to add value to clients' businesses by focusing on global duty savings and customs compliance initiatives to facilitate bottom-line cash savings, reduce potential exposure from global customs compliance violations, and improve operational efficiencies.

Our Trade and Customs Practice is a multidisciplinary team whose members consist of accountants, attorneys, customs brokers, customs auditors, and other professionals. Together, the individuals in our group focus on developing comprehensive services that can exceed our clients' expectations.


Responsibilities:

* Serve as a national resource for the 60 plus member trade and customs team
* Interpret and apply new international trade rules and regulations to client fact patterns
* Review analysis of complex international trade issues
* Research, write, and review international trade advice
* Develop value-added international trade solutions to address client needs
* Identify and develop additional areas of opportunities (international tax, state and local tax, transfer pricing) that could provide value to clients' operations
* Aid in the development and training of trade and customs team members
* Participate in multi-service line client engagement and development teams


Qualifications:

* Big Four advisory, named trade law firm or significant government regulator experience
* Fifteen years of international trade experience with an emphasis in both import and export compliance and planning
* Advanced knowledge and experience in International trade operations
* BA/BS degree from an accredited college/university
* Exemplary technical skills in the area of U.S. and global import and export regulatory compliance and planning.
* Strong interpersonal skills, good written and verbal communication and presentation skills
