Overview:

Develop and deliver quality tax consulting services and products for closely held, middle market clients comprised of partnerships, individual family groups, fiduciaries and corporations with multi-state returns, as well as publicly traded multinational companies.

Responsibilities:

·        Manage multiple engagements which include compliance, consulting, and tax planning services;

·        Consult with client service team to design and communicate innovative planning opportunities to clients.  Work with client service team to ensure coordination and implementation;

·        Assist with and manage IRS and state audits, which include income and/or sales tax issues;

·        Successfully manage client relationships by consistently providing clients timely and appropriate communication and services in relation to their needs;

·        Participate and actively contribute to new business development activities;

·        Supervise, motivate, and train junior level team members;

·        Assist in managing internal tax department;

·        Other responsibilities as necessary.

 

Education/Skills/Experience:

BA or BS in Accounting, Finance or Business preferred.  MST or in process strongly preferred;CPA certification required.  7+ years of public accounting experience, with a minimum of about 5 years in tax, required;Must have comprehensive tax consulting experience in one or more areas of the following areas:  real estate, investment partnerships, family groups, manufacturing, personal service companies or corporate tax, or publicly traded multinational public companies;   A demonstrated ability to self-direct and effectively organize, prioritize and manage multiple engagements under tight deadlines, required;  Experience and continued interest in developing and mentoring junior team members, required;Excellent analytical, supervisory, organizational, and written and verbal communications skills necessary;Knowledge of complex tax concepts and applications related to federal and state tax laws and regulations, required;An ability to effectively present information and appropriately respond to questions from clients and team members, required.
