Description: Join the Medium Extended Air Defense System (MEADS) Battle Management Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Intelligence (BMC4I) System Engineer Products group responsible for the MEADS BMC4I Prime Item Performance Specification (PIPS). Serve as a Subject Matter Expert on battle management concepts. Ensure traceability and flowdown from the parent specification (MEADS International's System Performance Specification) and to the children specs (Hardware Configuration Item Development Specification and Software Requirement Specification). Participate in audits on such traceability. Responsible to ensure that SW, HW, and Supportability related requirements are met in BMC4I end items through each phase of development (requirements, design, implementation, test). Responsible for development of BMC4I operational/functional concepts and architecture. This includes correct and complete representation of these in SE artifacts (white papers, trade studies, use cases, algorithm description documents, etc.) and in the BMC4I system level requirements. Develop and document system and BMC4I concepts, coordinate and document key design decisions. Work with MI System Engineering group to ensure BMC4I behavior, functionality, and performance requirements are allocated to BMC4I correctly. This includes participating in MI meetings and review of MI products for completeness and accuracy (SPS, IFS, MADD). Serve as an interface to MI, NAMEADSMA, the nations, and to LM enterprise groups with respect to the BMC4I concept of operations. Participate in Engineering Screening and Configuration Control Boards regarding requirements changes. Develop cost/schedule impacts for MI generated Problem Reports and serve as technical lead to assist in receiving accurate cost/schedule impacts from European partners for submittal to MI. Develop BMC4I Problem Change Reports as related to system engineering products (PIPS, use cases, concept papers) and coordinate/gain consensus with all stakeholders (SW, HW, Supportability, etc.). Participate in Interface Specification and Interface Control Document input development activities. Must possess strong System Engineering process discipline and Army Air Defense Weapon System experience to include radar, missile, launcher, and preferably battle management experience. Must be capable of evaluating whole system performance effects of concepts and requirements change requests. Experience with a requirements management tool (preferably Rational Requisite Pro) is required. Strong verbal and written communications skills are required. Must be willing to travel, to include international travel, and possess a DOD Secret clearance. Qualifications: Strong Army Air Defense Weapon System experience
