Systems Engineer - Consultant, Government, Aerospace, DoD

To apply to this position you must have experience working on Government / Defense system / software engineering projects for companies such as: Northrop, Boeing, Litton, Raytheon, Applied Signal Technology, Hughes, Honeywell or NASA!

So, if you are a Systems Engineer with an active security clearance or ability to be cleared and over 5 years experience working on government or aerospace systems engineering projects ... apply now!

Work on different exciting projects and have the ability to take time off work between projects for travel and vacations!

No need to relocate! You can live anywhere in the US and travel to client sites! We also have local clients in certain areas which you could just commute to!

What you need for this position:

* 5+ years as a Systems Engineer on government, Aerospace/Defense, DoD, or Space programs
* Experience in areas such as Product Development, Technical Project Management, Proposal Writing, Business Development, and Life Cycle Engineering
* Strong knowledge of the Systems Engineering Process, able to translate tasks and deliverables across company, industry and DoD process definitions
* Demonstrated experience as the program level technical supervisor for major systems engineering or assessment efforts.
* Prior SE experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Product Development
- Technical Program Management
- System Architecting
- System Design, Functional Design, Product Design, Modeling & Simulation
- System Test & Integration
* Flexible about domestic travel (75-100%)
* Bachelors degree (Masters is a plus) in Engineering or Computer Science
* Clearance: Secret or Top Secret, with SCI (active within the last 2 years) or a US Citizen who can successfully pass the background check and receive clearance

What you will be doing:

* Lead and consult with clients on their System Engineering efforts during any program phase for large, complex programs
* Document, follow, own, and improve the project's and the organization's SE processes
* Architects, captures and reports technical decisions and SE metrics
* Serves the client as consultant, interpreter and translator for the various disciplines represented on the team and a point of contact for evaluation of problems arising from the interdisciplinary nature of the work
* Communicates various points of view and ensures client decisions are properly reflected in the system/program design
