Switch Technician

Job Requirements:

Installs, tests, repairs and maintains central office voice and data equipment and all central office support equipment.

Supports all functions of customer and network facility installation and maintenance.

Assists Translations and NOC personnel in daily #5ESS software/hardware installation, analysis and problem resolution associated with lines, trunks, ports stations and central office equipment.

Assists in daily DACS facility analysis and problem resolution associated with network and customer facilities.

Assists all departments with installation, testing and turn up of customers.

Review and perform operations duties associated with service order activity, trouble tickets, and outages.

Qualifications:

Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or have a minimum of 5 years working experience with Lucent #5ESS switching equipment and ATM CBX 500 equipment, Alcatel or Tellabs DACs, Acterna test equipment, and data routers.
