We are currently looking for a qualified Support Engineer to join our Technical Support team at our worldwide headquarters in Islandia, NY.
Customer Support provides CA customers with the best possible service and expertise to protect and enhance investments in CA technology and is committed to providing a degree of customer satisfaction that is unparalleled in the Industry.
Technical Support candidates must exhibit a high degree of professionalism, customer service, and enthusiasm. Your prior technical troubleshooting and customer support experience will help qualify you for the responsibility of providing world-class technical support for solutions. Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills will prove vital in investigating and resolving technical product issues.
Key Requirements:
* Advanced knowledge of Windows environments with emphasis on reliability, availability and scalability
* Intermediate troubleshooting and root cause determination
* Intermediate knowledge of DCOM
* Basic knowledge of performance monitoring and tuning
* Basic knowledge of UNIX systems required, Intermediate desired
* Basic knowledge of database administration (SQL and/or Oracle)
* Basic knowledge of network and server monitoring applications
* Basic knowledge of IT Service Management applications
* Basic knowledge of Web Services
* Understanding of ITIL foundations an asset (certification preferred)
* Background in computer programming or scripting an asset
