The Supervisor of Regulatory Reporting is responsible for the preparation of financial regulatory reports, including ARMIS Reports filed with the FCC as well as other state/federal financial regulatory reports that may be due on a monthly, quarterly or annual basis.  ARMIS is an FCC reporting system for large Incumbent Local Exchange Carriers (ILEC's) to report financial, infrastructure and operational information.  The state and federal reports include all of FairPoint ILEC operations in New Hampshire, Vermont and Maine. Performs job duties consistent within safety, legal and regulatory requirements; company standards, culture and business practices.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

·         Preparation of all regulatory reports and subsequent filings with federal and state agencies as required by regulatory bodies and in compliance with FCC and state regulatory accounting rules and orders.

·         Supervise regulatory accountant(s) in meeting the duties and responsibilities

·         Prepare and or assist in preparation of analyses and responses to internal and commission requests

·         Participate in assisting the Finance Department in special projects and other financial requirements potentially including cost allocations and studies.

Education and Experience:

·         Must have a four year degree in Accounting or Finance (or equivalent)

·         6 to 10 years in the telecommunications industry with an emphasis in regulatory accounting

·         CPA license preferred 

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

·         Strong team player with excellent communication (verbal and written) skills

·         Working knowledge of Part 32 (Uniform System of Accounts for telephone companies).

·         Experience in general ledger accounting and financial reporting requirements at the federal and state (Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine) levels.

·         Knowledge of ERP systems.

·         Strong spreadsheet and analysis skills.
