This position is responsible for the development and implementation of the Company’s Cost Allocation Manual (CAM), including all affiliate transactions. This position is responsible for the cost allocations of the centralized service organization.
Performs job duties consistent within safety, legal and regulatory requirements; company standards, culture and business practices.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for financial reporting in compliance with the CAM and maintaining the CAM. This position must be able to present and explain the financial results of the Company’s operations.
Additional Duties:
Supervise two to four Accountants. Participate in assisting the Finance Department in special projects and other financial reporting requirements.
Contributes to departmental activities and programs by accomplishing related tasks as needed.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
This position will need to have a working knowledge of Part 32 (Uniform System of Accounts for telephone companies) and federal and state financial reporting requirements for Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine.
This position requires an understanding of regulatory accounting and cost allocation principles as defined by the FCC, including the Company’s CAM.
This position will need to be able to use the Company’s accounting software and have solid spreadsheet skills.
Education/Experience
In order to accomplish the essential duties of this position, the incumbent must have a four year degree in accounting or finance, or the equivalent thereof. Ideally, this position will have four to six years relevant experience in regulatory financial reporting and CAM operations.
