Job Description:

Superintendent - Commercial - Construction

Location: Houston, TX

Are you a seasoned Site Superintendent with experience working on Commercial construction projects including Tenant Improvement(TI) work? If so, read on...

A General Contractor headquartered in Mississippi is in need of a General Superintendent to work on various construction projects. The initial project will be a Tenant Improvement job for a 6-story commercial building in Houston. After this job is complete you will be rolled into other construction jobs with the GC.

What you will be doing:
-Daily communications of all on site activities, issues, and progress to the Project Manager
-Managing the project from beginning to end including unexpected events, general performance and overall progress
-Responsible for the day to day operations of commercial construction project
-Responsible for scheduling subcontractors to complete project on time
-Responsible for day to day construction activates including maintaining schedules, coordinating work with internal resources and subcontractors, material management, evaluating change orders, and interfacing with customers
-Working with project managers to insure projects costs, schedule and quality are maintained

What you need to be qualified for this position:

- 5+ years experience as a Foreman or Superintendent with heavy field experience
- Commercial Construction experience
- Tenant Improvement Experience
- Understanding of design documents, blueprints, etc
- Experience in the scheduling of contractors and sub-contractors
- Previous documented work experience with a general contractor working on start to finish projects in a Superintendent role
