Santee Cooper, South Carolina’s state owned electric and water utility located near Charleston, SC, has an immediate opportunity for an experienced engineer in our Substation Civil Design Group. Responsibilities of this position include design of new/existing substation facilities involving site design/permitting, foundations design, structural design, material procurement (including steel, switches, bus, insulators, connectors, etc), and preparation of drawings/specs. Requires Bachelors degree in civil or electrical engineering from an EAC/ABET accredited university or college and a minimum of 4-7 years experience. PE certification preferred. EIT required. Proficiency with Microstation or AutoCAD programs a plus. Salary range is low 60’s to low 90’s, commensurate with experience level.
