General Duties:

·         Conduct preliminary financial aid interviews with new students

·         Provide new students with loan counseling and accurate information regarding the application process and their eligibility for State/Federal financial assistance, alternative financing, contracts and/or institutional payment plans

·         Inform students of their financial obligation, the institution’s financial options, and financial policies and procedures as related to their educational expenses

·         Determine students’ Title IV eligibility through an approved needs analysis Financial Aid software system

·         Advise students of their obligation to provide accurate information and of any consequences related to their application and funding process

·         Review financial applications and disclosure statements for completeness and accuracy

·         Generate tentative award letter for all new students enrolling into the Institution’s program

·         Process all forms in accordance with State/Federal regulations and Company policies and procedures

·         Update tracking systems for timely processing, funding, billing, and collections

·         Maintain tracking system for new applications and missing documents for timely follow up and completion

·         Track and maintain file intake completion throughout the enrollment process

·         Provide customer service and answer student financial status inquiries

·         Serve as a liaison between Admissions and Student Finance

·         Participate in all new student orientations

 

Requirements:

·         Bachelor’s degree desired

·         3-5 years’ customer service, sales or financial services experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience

·         Computer skills

·         Familiarity with student loan programs preferred

·         Highly motivated professional with strong organizational and prioritization skills

·         Effective communication, negotiation and problem solving abilities

·         Results-driven team player with great customer service skills
