QUALIFICATIONS:                       B.S. Degree in civil, aero, structural or mechanics of materials Engineering is mandatory. Related experience desirable.

Structural design capabilities with basic knowledge of weldments design.

Knowledge in statics, dynamics, stress and analysis, machine design.

Knowledge of PC, AutoCad, spreadsheets.

Knowledge in FEA.

Knowledge of AISC (ASD) required.

EIT registration is desired.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:                Layout and design assigned tasks within a major project.

Provide all required calculations and documentation for any checked and/or approved design.

Verify and check drawings and layouts.

Give directions to designers and drafters.

Provide technical liaison to engineers for sales, service, and operations in both the office and the field.

Develop application information for proposals on all product lines.

Ability to communicate technical principles and equipment operation to other departments.

Design and analysis of structural weldments for offshore industry using classical hand and computer methods.

Some travel required.

Hours:  7:30 AM-5:00PM/Mon.-Thurs. (45 min. lunch); 7:30 AM-12:30 PM on Friday
