Position Description:

A person performing this job is accountable for the execution of the company strategies and programs within the assigned store; responsible for the financial success of the store, training and supervising store employees, providing guidance in employee relations issues, leading employees toward sales goals, reading and comprehending training materials, and performing related functions as required.

Responsibilities:

Assist customers with purchases at the register and throughout the store in a prompt, courteous and friendly manner.
Record all sales according to register procedures, collect approprately for all transactions, and secure all funds and receipts according to policy.
Adhere to all laws and regulations relating to alcoholic beverage and tobacco sales.
Remain familiar with company training materials; obey all policies and procedures.
Enforce controls and investigate/report all discrepancies involving cash, inventory, or other company assets.
Conduct performance reviews on store personnel at appropriate intervals and provide continuous performance feedback to all subordinates.
Train the First Assistant Manager and ensure that all store personnel receive training necessary for required skills and desired career progression.
Supervise store employees to ensure completion of tasks.
Ensure employee and store compliance with MAPCO Express, Inc. policies and procedures.
Order merchandise and supplies as needed to maintain desired stock levels.
Provide guidance and assistance in employee relation issues.
Plan work schedule and assign shifts to employees to ensure adequate coverage.
Balance cash and receipts, prepare bank deposit, close and transmit report, daily.
Update POS registers with changes as needed.
Assist store employees in maintaining store cleanliness.
Train the First Assistant Manager.
Perform daily and weekly counts of required items.
Perform related functions as required.
Perform other responsibilities as may be delegated by the District Manager.
Other duties as assigned.
