This position works closely with Blood Bank, Outpatient IV Therapy, Medical Oncology and Inpatient Oncology Unit to coordinate care of the tranplant population. The candidate should have excellent communication skills, attention to detail and ability to work independently.

SUMMARY OF POSITION DESCRIPTION:

The Stem Cell Program Coordinator is responsible for ensuring all regulatory standards are met and maintained. This position is also responsible for coordinating all Program activities along with the Medical Director. The position facilitates all cross department activities to ensure the smooth delivery of service for patients and families.

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

1. B.S. degree in nursing required. Oncology certification and or MS preferred.

2. Minimum experience of five years clinical nursing, with an emphasis on Oncology nursing. Experience with Stem Cell Transplant Program desired.

3. Solid knowledge of Oncology nursing is required.

4. Requires interpersonal and management skills.

5. Ability to work with diverse personalities from many specialty areas is necessary.

6. Must communicate well verbally and in writing.
