Provide direct patient care for assigned patients and assist in the care of other patients as needed. Perform all technical aspects of dialysis procedures. Assess patients' response to dialysis therapy and make appropriate adjustments and modifications to the treatment plan as indicated or directed by the supervisor or as prescribed by the Physician. Assess patient pre, interim, and post dialysis and document findings. Administer medications as ordered to assigned patients. Responsible for assessing educational needs of patient and educating the patient and family regarding end stage renal disease, dialysis therapy, diet and medications.
Current appropriate R.N. licensure.
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing. Successful completion of a training course in theory and practice of hemodialysis.
Successful completion of CPR Certification.
Minimum of one-year medical-surgical nursing experience preferred.
Hemodialysis experience preferred but not required.
ICU experience preferred.
Ability to assist in lifting patients and equipment.
Ability to provide coverage at area facilities during times of short staffing or as required.
30-40 hour/week positions open.
