Our client, an established and growing Columbus company in the Real Estate / Construction Industry, has a great opportunity for someone as a Staff Accountant.   The position is responsilble for the daily accounting functions related to construction projects.   Experience in the construction industry is a plus.  However, the company is known for hiring talented people and is open to training someone with good accounting skills on the specifics of the construction industry if they are interested in the industry.

Responsibilities include:

- Managing the Accounts Payable process, including entering sub contractors' contracts in the system and making appropriate disbursements.

- Set up of billings for each project

- Performing bank / construction draws

- Preparation of Financial Statements

Qualifications / Requirements include:

- Accounting or Finance Degree

- Minimum of 1 year experience in Accounting, with exposure to Construction Accounting a plus.

- Able to work with Accounting software, Timberline exposure a plus. 

- Strong Computer skills.

- Strong communication skills and a team player.
