Staff Associate for the Fitness Center and Athletics/Women’s Basketball Coach
This full-time, fiscal year position is available immediately. The Staff Associate will supervise the Fitness Center on the Augusta campus, promoting health and fitness programming for University staff and students, and coach the Women’s Basketball team.
Qualifications: Requirements: A Baccalaureate degree with two years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience; experience in one or more of the following: health and fitness programs, certification as an aerobics instructor or personal trainer, fitness facility management, recreational sports, or athletics’ administration, preferably in a higher education setting; strong organizational and management skills; excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communications skills; initiative; computer literacy; ability to work independently and as a member of a team; availability to work evening and weekend hours; ability to recruit student athletes; successful basketball coaching experience; valid state of Maine driver’s license.
Salary: The salary range is mid-to-high thirties, commensurate with qualifications and experience. The University offers an excellent fringe benefits package including health insurance, life insurance, paid holidays, paid vacation days, paid sick days, and tuition waiver benefits.
