Staff Accountant

OmniSource, one of the leading scrap metal recycling companies in North America, has an immediate opening for a Staff Accountant for the Northern Indiana division located in Fort Wayne, IN.

Job Responsibilities

Month-end closing procedures; including journal entries, statement review and closing reports.Monthly account reconciliations and other weekly reports.Involvement in inventory activities; including physical observations, inventory valuation and roll-forwards.Monitor division aging.Budget activities.All other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

Bachelors degree in accounting.1 to 3 years work experience in accounting, preferably in a manufacturing environment.Strong communication skills.Strong analytical and problem solving skills. Computer literate with experience in Microsoft Word and Excel required; experience with Access and JD Edwards is a plus. Must be a team player dedicated to the organization.
